Singer KK, who had many hits in India over the last 30 years, has died at age 53. He was giving a live performance at an event in Kolkata when he passed out and died.
“Singer Anupam Roy called me and told me he heard something bad from the hospital,” Minister Arup Biswas said about KK’s death. After that, I called the hospital. They said that he had already died. Then I went to the hospital right away.”
In 1999, KK put out his first album, Pal. The singer-composer, whose real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath, focused more on Bollywood than on his own music at the time. He had hits like “Tadap Tadap” from “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” (1999), “Dus Bahane” from “Dus” (2005), and “Tune Maari Entriyaan” from “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” (1999). (Gunday, 2014).
