Deepika Padukone has a lot of highly awaited projects in her kitty as she prepares for the release of Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan. One, in particular, is Siddharth Anand’s Fighter Movie, in which the actor will star alongside Hrithik Roshan, the ‘Greek God of Bollywood.’ Despite having been in the industry for nearly a decade and establishing themselves as one of Bollywood’s top stars, fans have yet to see the two superstars on screen together.
Fighter Movie, which is being billed as India’s first-ever aerial actioner, is expected to set a new standard for aerial stunts in Bollywood, with Deepika and Hrithik performing high-octane stunts together. When asked why it took her so long to work with Bang Bang star Hrithik Roshan, the 83-year-old performer stated she was waiting for the appropriate time.

In an exclusive interview with Koimoi, the 36-year-old star stated that she does not want her next collaboration with Hrithik Roshan to be compared to other iconic film partnerships. She described the 48-year-old as a “great actress” who will add their “own originality” to the venture. She also admitted that fans had been yearning for them to collaborate on a film.
In response, the actress stated that she ‘waited for the perfect moment and the right chance’ to make the film. Having said that, the actress went on to say that the upcoming Siddharth Anand film is “the appropriate project for the two of us to come together.”
For the uninitiated, fighter movie is produced by Viacom18 Studios Ajit Andhare, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande. “Presenting a glimpse of the MARFLIX vision as Fighter!” wrote Hrithik Roshan in a tweet in 2021, announcing the film. I’m excited to fly with Deepika Padukone for the first time. For this Siddharth Anand thrill trip, I’ve fastened my seatbelt.”
Meanwhile, Deepika is preparing for the release of Gehraiyaan on Amazon Prime Video on February 11 alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. She will also begin filming for Prabhas’ Project K.
